Printing for Fashion: Wearable Art

8 weeks: every Wednesday from September 30 to November 18, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM
Want to learn how to print your own designs on fabric? In this after-school activity, students will learn how to translate their original drawings and designs into relief stamps and screen prints. Students will make hand-printed t-shirts, patches, and bandanas, getting creative with all types of wearable art. All printing equipment and materials will be provided, as well as some starter fabric… plus, we encourage students to bring in their own upcycled clothing and textiles to breathe new life into them!
A 4-Week Evening Class:
Screen Printing Intro
Mondays, Oct. 19 – Nov. 9, 2026
Adults (above 16) | $210.00
4 weeks: every Monday from October 19 to November 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Take a design from a basic sketch to a finished set of prints in our screen printing studio.
You’ll learn how to:
Create Your Stencil : Using hand-drawn images transparencies, you’ll learn how to do a screen exposure to make a stencil.
Prepare Your Screen: Learn how to degrease mesh frames, coat screens with light-sensitive photo emulsion in a darkroom, and handle and store them properly.
Mix Inks and Colors: Learn to mic custom ink colors, use a squeegee correctly to pull prints, and learn registration techniques to align print layers accurately.
Clean-up and Reclaim Your Screen: Practice washing out ink, removing emulsion, and reclaiming screens so the frame and fabric can be reused for future projects.

A 4-Week Evening Class:
Intro to Letterpress — Holiday Cards
Tuesdays, Oct. 20 – Nov. 10, 2026
Adults (above 16) | $210.00
4 weeks: every Tuesday from October 20 to November 10, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Learn the basics of letterpress printing as you print your own bespoke holiday cards. In this class, participants will engage with the process from start to finish, learning how to set type and pair it with vintage letterpress image cuts, and printing an edition of 30 holiday cards, complete with envelopes.

Pop-In Event:
Holiday Card Printing
Sunday, Nov. 1
All ages | $25.00
Sunday Nov. 1, 3 to 6 PM
We’ll have several choices of holiday card designs set up… you’ll choose your design, your paper option, and — with our guidance and assistance — you’ll print an edition of 15 holiday cards, complete with envelopes.

Using pre-printed textures and papers and our custom wreath template, you’ll choose your favorite shapes and colors to create a dimensional holiday wreath to brighten your holiday home.
